Overnight care provides awake or sleep-in caregiver coverage during nighttime hours for clients who need supervision or assistance.
Overnight care is scheduled nighttime coverage. It is not automatically respite, not skilled nursing unless a nurse is assigned, and not a sleep-in arrangement unless that model is authorized and staffed.
Overnight caregivers follow the care plan, respond to routine needs, maintain safety, and document the shift for families and supervisors.
Families receive shift summaries covering sleep patterns, interventions, and any concerns requiring follow-up.
Home care supports daily living and clinical needs at home but does not replace emergency medical services. Families should maintain emergency contacts and call 911 when immediate medical attention is required. For medical emergencies, call 911 immediately. Eden Home Health Care provides non-emergency in-home support and coordination.
Our care coordination team reviews daily needs, safety concerns, and any physician or payer requirements to recommend appropriate services.
