Bathing assistance provides hands-on support for tub, shower, or sponge baths while prioritizing privacy, warmth, and fall prevention.
Bathing assistance is a personal-care ADL. It is not a spa service, not wound-care nursing unless a nurse is assigned, and not identical to toileting or dressing.
Caregivers prepare the bathroom, use grab bars and non-slip surfaces, assist as authorized, and maintain dignified communication throughout.
Caregivers report skin issues, refusal patterns, or safety concerns that may need clinical follow-up.
Home care supports daily living and clinical needs at home but does not replace emergency medical services. Families should maintain emergency contacts and call 911 when immediate medical attention is required. For medical emergencies, call 911 immediately. Eden Home Health Care provides non-emergency in-home support and coordination.
