Mobility assistance helps clients move safely between rooms, use assistive devices, and maintain activity within their ability level.
Mobility assistance is hands-on or stand-by help moving around the home. It is not physical therapy, not DME, and not identical to a specific bed-to-chair transfer task unless that task is on the plan.
Caregivers use proper transfer techniques, encourage safe movement, and report changes that may need clinical review.
Caregivers alert families to increased fall risk or mobility decline that may require clinical or equipment follow-up.
Home care supports daily living and clinical needs at home but does not replace emergency medical services. Families should maintain emergency contacts and call 911 when immediate medical attention is required. For medical emergencies, call 911 immediately. Eden Home Health Care provides non-emergency in-home support and coordination.
