A CNA is certified by the Virginia Board of Nursing. That certification is one home-attendant qualification pathway in 12VAC5-381-290 — not a registered-nurse license.

HHA

Home health aide is a common job title for supervised aide work under a plan. It does not automatically create a separate statewide license that replaces Virginia home-attendant rules.
